How to Measure Your Wrist

Measure the wrist you plan to wear the bracelet on. A flexible measuring tape is easiest, but a strip of paper or non-stretch string works too.

Using a measuring tape

1. Wrap the tape around the wrist where you normally wear a bracelet, usually around the wrist joint.
2. Keep the tape close to the skin without pulling it tight or leaving extra slack.
3. Read the measurement where the tape overlaps. Record it in inches or centimeters.
4. Measure a second time to confirm the result.

Using string or a strip of paper

1. Wrap the string or paper around your wrist at the same position.
2. Mark where the ends meet.
3. Lay it flat and measure from the end to the mark with a ruler.

Choose your preferred fit

Your wrist measurement is the starting point. Add a little extra length depending on how you want the bracelet to sit:

• Close fit: approximately 0.25–0.50 in (0.6–1.3 cm) larger than your wrist.
• Comfort fit: approximately 0.50–0.75 in (1.3–1.9 cm) larger than your wrist.
• Relaxed fit: approximately 0.75–1.00 in (1.9–2.5 cm) larger than your wrist.

Tennis and link bracelets usually need a little room to move without sliding too far down the hand. Cuffs, hinged bangles, and rigid styles can fit differently, so check the product’s available sizing when choosing those designs.
